STATION THIRTEEN - JESUS IS TAKEN DOWN FROM THE CROSS
When the soldiers came to Jesus, they saw that he was already dead so they did not break His legs. Instead, one of the soldiers pierced Jesus’ side with a spear, bringing a sudden flow of blood and water. Later, Joseph of Arimathea asked Pilate for the body of Jesus. Now Joseph was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly because he feared the Jews. With Pilate’s permission, he came and took the body away.(John 19:33-34, 38 – see Acts 2:22-23)
In your Prayer Map app search the “Pray Elsewhere” bar for the closest Fire Station, Police Station, or Military Base. Think about Christ’s sacrifice and how he gave up his life so that you might be able to have eternal life. Think about the men and women who everyday place themselves at risk for your health, safety, and freedom. Post a prayer for strength, encouragement, safety, and health. Pray that those who don’t already know Christ’s love would come to eternal life through the One who sacrificed for them.
