STATION FOURTEEN - JESUS IS LAID IN THE TOMB

Joseph took the body, wrapped it in clean linen cloth, and placed it in his new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away. (Matthew 27:59-60 – see Psalm 30:2-5)

In your Prayer Map app search the “Pray Elsewhere” bar for the nearest cemetery or funeral home. Think about the heaviness of the grief that follows the death of a loved one. Think about how final it feels to lose a friend or loved one knowing you’ll never see them again on this side of heaven. Think about how Jesus’s followers felt seeing him laid in the tomb. Now think about the people around the world right now who are losing family, friends, loved ones to this virus and other causes. Think about the difficulties of grieving in isolation. Maybe you are grieving a lost one and a loved one right now. Think about how hard it is for you and then think about those who are far from God and don’t know the Peace of knowing Christ and the promise of eternal life with him. Post a prayer of LOVE for the families and friends of those who are dying alone and isolated right now. Pray that those who are in their final moments would know come to know a transcendent Peace in Christ Jesus.
